Parents can apply through the official RTE Maharashtra online portal for the academic year 2025-26. The application process typically starts between January and March, and allotment is done via a computerized lottery system to ensure fairness.

To be eligible, your child must be between 3 to 6 years old (depending on class entry level), and you must provide documents such as income proof, age certificate, domicile proof, and Aadhaar card. RTE seats are available across major cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, and even rural districts.
